First, the team discussed about what community work will be conducted and came up with the idea of collecting garbage and giving a mini-seminar to kids. Then, the place of the community work was decided and after which, the proponents asked for permission to conduct a community work at Ilang-Ilang Street wherein one of the proponents is living at. After acquiring permission, the proponents started with collecting garbage on the street. After collecting garbage, the team sorted the garbage into three categories: Biodegradable, recyclables and plastics. They were placed in three different sacks.
Waste
Also, as the garbage were sorted or segregated, the beneficiaries who were kids were taught how to segregate. The importance of segregation and proper waste management was also emphasized.
