It is a fact that the world is now facing devastating phenomena, staggering crises and ravaging chaos at this present time. Super typhoons, tropical storms, tsunamis, earthquakes, cyclones, tornadoes and droughts. Have you ever wondered and had it ever crossed your brilliant minds what brings forth these calamities? That would be the claws of global warming and climate change. What is Global warming? That is the increase in world’s temperatures: an increase in the world’s temperatures, believed to be caused in part by the greenhouse effect. On the other hand, Climate change is the change in global weather patterns or the long-term alteration in global weather patterns, especially increases in temperature and storm activity, regarded as a potential consequence of the greenhouse effect.
Moreover, what are the roots of these two observable facts? –That would be burning and improper disposal of garbage.
So, how can we be able to stop these occurrences? That is through Proper Waste Management wherein Proper Waste Disposal and Proper Waste Segregation are applied.
Waste management is the collection, transport, processing, recycling or disposal, and monitoring of waste materials. The term usually relates to materials produced by human activity, and is generally undertaken to reduce their effect on health, the environment or aesthetics. Waste management is also carried out to recover resources from it. Waste management can involve solid, liquid, gaseous or radioactive substances, with different methods and fields of expertise for each.
Hence, what has this got to do with our community work huh? Well, the proponents of the team came up with a simple yet ideal solution to lessen the problem with regards to the most potent factor –garbage, and that is collecting garbage and teaching kids on how to manage their wastes properly and how to segregate garbage.
So, just take your little trip into our blog and find out what we did to help save our world!!!!
